Plumbers possess the skills and knowledge to plan, install and service plumbing systems, which can include those connected to washers, bathtubs, sinks, toilets, and heating and cooling systems. Receive high-quality, hands-on classroom instruction that complements on-the-job apprenticeship training critical for success in the industrial trades.
The minimum required course grades and program grade point average (GPA) for students under this catalog are:

Additional details regarding Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) apprenticeships:
- Contact Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc. (ABC) of Wisconsin, 5330 Wall Street, Madison, WI 53718; www.abcwi.org/apprenticeship.
- Complete the ABC application packet, which will include qualifying test information.
- After application approval, a list of potential employers will be provided.
- Obtain employment for apprenticeship training.
Application to WCTC is not necessary by the student.
This WCTC program prepares students to obtain the required licensure to be employed/practice in the state of Wisconsin. The College does not guarantee its curriculum matches the requirements for preparation, examinations, or licensure for other states.
Program Outcomes
- Apply state plumbing code requirements to the installation and repair of sanitary drain systems.
- Apply state plumbing code requirements to the installation and repair of venting systems.
- Apply state plumbing code requirements to the installation and repair of water supply systems.
- Apply state plumbing code requirements to installation and repair of storm drain systems.
- Apply state plumbing code requirements to the installation and repair of POWTS systems.
- Refer to the Wisconsin Administrative Plumbing codes.
- Prepare for Journey level licensure examination.
