856-780. Intro to Basic Science III. (2 Credits)
Students will achieve a basic understanding of competencies that are common to all the sciences, including, but not limited to, tracing the development of scientific theory, applying the scientific method for the solution to a problem, analyzing basic science and technological information, and investigating how societal, economic and political systems influence the progress of science and technology. In addition to completing units in basic science, students will also complete units in environmental science and earth science. Course emphasis is on helping students to recognize that scientific principles are a part of everyday life and how science affects the student and the society we live in.
