Continuous Student Enrollment and Degree Progression
Academic programs at Waukesha County Technical College (WCTC) undergo curriculum changes to keep programs current in technology and accreditation criteria. A student must meet all requirements published in the catalog at the time of matriculation for their specific program to graduate. If a student has a break in course registration that extends more than two years, the graduation requirements in effect at the time of readmission into the program will be used to determine the student’s eligibility for graduation.
Students seeking readmission should contact the Academic Advising Department.

Students may appeal to the program’s associate dean to approve a specific curriculum requirement based on previous degree progression, length of break, and change in program competencies.
Academic Program Discontinuation
Waukesha County Technical College (WCTC) regularly evaluates its programs to ensure they meet student needs and industry demands. Programs may be discontinued if performance data, such as low enrollment, poor retention, or workforce relevance, indicate they are no longer viable. If a program is discontinued, WCTC prioritizes supporting students by providing a clear teach-out plan to complete their education.
Students affected by program discontinuations will receive timely and clear communication regarding their options, including detailed information about any support services available to facilitate the completion of their education. WCTC remains committed to supporting its students through these transitions, upholding its educational responsibilities, and maintaining transparency throughout the process.
