Learn to teach, supervise and support children and adults diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Develop techniques to promote independence and social success for individuals with ASD, explore applicable laws and policies, and learn to work in educational, residential, home or behavioral treatment settings.

This WCTC program prepares students to obtain the required licensure to be employed/practice in the state of Wisconsin. The College does not guarantee its curriculum matches the requirements for preparation, examinations, or licensure for other states.
1. Implement positive behavior supports for students/individuals identified on the Autism Spectrum.
2. Demonstrate a variety of effective teaching methods, adaptations and modifications for learners/individuals identified on the Autism Spectrum.
3. Assist with individualized assessment procedures.
4. Implement skill acquisition plans for individuals on the Autism Spectrum
5. Document and report the learning and development of individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
6. Demonstrate professional conduct within the scope of practice for those supporting individuals on the Autism Spectrum.
7. Engage in family centered and culturally competent approaches to supporting those on the Autism Spectrum.
8. Use technology commonly identified to benefit those on the Autism Spectrum.
