Get an introduction to environmental health and water quality. Study air, water, soil and food quality, along with communicable and zoonotic (transferable from animals to humans) diseases. The roles and responsibilities of the environmental practitioner focusing on global environmental health, water quality, sustainability, energy conservation and renewable energy applications will be discussed.
506-142. Principles of Water Resources. (3 Credits)
Study water and its uses including the history; types of surface water and groundwater sources; water quality; federal, state and local legislation; water conservation; and emerging water issues affecting human health and the environment.
