409-602. Basic Woodworking.

A basic woodworking course intended for the person with limited woodworking experience. Students will learn safe and proper use of basic hand and power tools. Course content includes lectures, demonstrations and construction of suggested projects. Students must provide their own wood and eye protection.

409-603. Cabinet Furniture Construction.

Students will have the opportunity to learn techniques of cabinet and/or furniture construction, including joints, carcass construction, drawers, doors and moldings. Instruction will be given on the operation of portable and stationary power equipment, selection of hardware and finishing techniques. Students must provide their own wood and eye protection.

Prerequisites: (409-602 with a minimum grade of NG) or (Consent of instructor )
